Add and delete tags

To add or delete a tag, you can use rewrite rules. To add a tag, use the following syntax:

rewrite <name_of_the_rule> {
    set-tag("<tag-to-add>");
};

To delete a tag, use the following syntax:

rewrite <name_of_the_rule> {
    clear-tag("<tag-to-delete>");
};

Templates (macros, template functions) can be used when specifying tags, for example, set-tag("dyn::$HOST");.

The set-tag() and clear-tag() rewrite rules have the following option.

condition()

Description: Applies the rewrite rule only to the messages that match the specified filter expression. Messages that don’t match the filter pass through the rule unmodified, and continue to the next element of the log path. You can use any filter expression here, and you can reference an existing filter with the filter() function. For details, see Conditional rewrites.
