# MySQL-specific interaction methods

To specify the socket to use, set and export the `MYSQL_UNIX_PORT` environment variable, for example, `MYSQL_UNIX_PORT=/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock; export MYSQL_UNIX_PORT`.
